An introduction by the Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Manager
Dear Visitors,
Please allow me to welcome you to the website of ŠKODA JS a.s. This company (then operating under a different name) entered the nuclear energy business more than fifty years ago. We were the trailblazers in the development of this new industry in former Czechoslovakia, and today we are using our capacity, knowledge and the experience of our employees to the full, in order to support the new era of nuclear energy renaissance. Consequently, I believe that this new era has already started with the construction of the new nuclear projects in Finland, France and Slovakia, and will continue with construction of Temelin Unit 3&4 and in other sites of Central Europe.
Being a part of the powerful OMZ Group, we can offer our customers the benefit of years’ of experience as well as a wide range of products in the area of engineering, production and servicing associated with the components for nuclear power plants. At the beginning, we focused on the contracts for the VVER pressurized water reactors. However, during the past couple of years we have increased the number of important contracts pertaining to the PWR and BWR types of reactors. We cooperate with established companies in the market of nuclear power. Furthermore, ŠKODA JS products can be found on five continents. Our team of managers, together with our employees, is prepared to provide our customers with reliable products of high quality, which are available at a competitive price.
As a leading supplier of components for nuclear power plants in Central and Eastern Europe, we put an emphasis on the continuous development of our employees. In particular, we offer work to young graduates and let them participate in interesting projects in various countries around the world.
