Consortium
ŠKODA JS a.s. participates in the tender for completion of Temelín NPP, Units 3, 4. The application for the tender has been submitted by an international consortium led by the ŠKODA JS company, which has invited Atomstroyexport and OKB Gidropress companies to a cooperation.
MIR.1200 (Modernized International Reactor) is a European Nuclear Power Plant project, developed on the base of experiencing 1290 reactor operating years of the type VVER nuclear power plants.
The MIR.1200 cooperation project, based on AES-2006 design, is a result of development of the pressurized water reactor technology. At present, construction of seven VVER-1000/1200 units is in progress in Russia, and additional five units are being constructed in other countries.
With more than 50 years of activities in nuclear power industry, ŠKODA JS is fully capable to produce the key components of the nuclear island, to ensure the management of the construction and implementation of instrumentation and control system.
ŠKODA JS - a respected partner of international nuclear and power-industry companies, at the same time one of the leading engineering and manufacturing worldwide operating companies in the Czech Republic - has so far produced 21 complete pressurized water reactors with the output of 440 MWe and three reactors with output of 1.000 MWe. In the projects of Czech and Slovak nuclear power plants, ŠKODA JS acts as the main contractor of the primary circuit and fuel handling systems.
