ŠKODA JS reports double-digit growth in operating profit and sales in 2024. The volume of new orders also increased significantly.

25. 6. 2025

ŠKODA JS, a member of the ČEZ Group, reported a 16% year-on-year increase in operating profit to CZK 286.8 million and a 20% increase in sales to CZK 3.9 billion in 2024 under Czech accounting standards. These are audited financial results. The leading European manufacturer of equipment for the nuclear power industry has thus continued the trend set the year before (2023), when it also saw growth in both categories. Last year, the Pilsen plant achieved even greater success in the volume of newly signed contracts.

"The volume of new contracts as of 31 December 2024 was even more dynamic, as we achieved a 34 percent year-on-year growth to a total of CZK 5.13 billion," said František Krček, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of ŠKODA JS a.s., commenting on another important parameter of last year's economic results.

Last year, ŠKODA JS also increased the share of its exports to almost half of its total sales (47%), while the year before it was one third. Its foreign supplies in the areas of service, engineering and production were mainly directed to Slovakia, where it is currently completing the fourth unit of the Mochovce NPP in cooperation with other Czech companies (the third unit was put into commercial operation last year). Then to Ukraine, where its spare parts supplies have helped and are helping to keep local nuclear power plants running and thus support the stability of the local power grid, sorely tested by the war with Russia. And then to Hungary, the UK, Finland and 6 other countries around the world.

"I am glad that we are confirming our long-established position as a leading European engineering and manufacturing company with experience in the construction and servicing of nuclear power plants," added František Krček, ŠKODA JS´ CEO. This year, the company, which is based in two production facilities in Pilsen (the Reactor Shop and the Bolevec site) expects to establish more concrete cooperation with South-Korean KHNP - the winning bidder for the construction of a new nuclear unit(s) at the Dukovany NPP, or with the British Rolls-Royce in the project of small modular reactors within the framework of the activities of its parent company ČEZ.
