CMIS.CE System

CMIS.CE System – configuration and preparation of “smart data”

Configuration Management, Digital Twins, Smart Solutions, Integrated environment, and “Smart Data” are terms that have one thing in common – they are modern tools for data management, validation and exchange between subcontractors, the general contractor and the customer. Each new contract for the realization of large-scale nuclear EPC projects requires this system, for example, the tender documentation requirements for the new nuclear power units at the Akkuyu NPP (Turkey) and the Hanhikivi NPP (Finland).

In cooperation with the Hexagon Company, ŠKODA JS developed the CMIS.CE system, a software application based on the SmartPlant platform. This application significantly simplifies the processing, verification and uniqueness of data, and increases their searchability, organization and usability, which makes it an effective tool for monitoring, verification, management and utilization of large amounts of interconnected data..

CMIS.CE is a state-of-the-art tool for configuration management in EPC projects as well as for very effective information consolidation and management for power equipment in operation.

Schéma CMIS.CE

The functionality of the CMIS.CE system was verified even in connection with OCR systems (Optical Character Recognition) on a number of pilot projects, and it delivered excellent results. The system saw its first deployment in the project “Refurbishment of the Instrumentation and Control System at the Paks NPP” in Hungary. At the end of 2016, together with our customer Slovenské elektrárne, a.s., we commenced a CMIS.CE pilot project involving the practical deployment of the system during the Completion of Units 3 and 4 at the Mochovce nuclear power plant.

In connection with the pilot project for the construction of Units 3&4 at the Mochovce NPP, an “Optical Character Recognition” (OCR) technical documentation pilot project for ČEZ, a.s., was launched at the end of 2017. The goal was to gain information on the equipment from documents that were scanned and processed using OCR software, and to link the documents with these equipment data. On a similar scale, the system was also deployed for the processing, validation and integration of data for the polypropylene unit at Slovnaft, a.s., and the I&C Systems Refurbishment at the Metsamor NPP, Armenia.
